Hello!  Thank you for visiting my class webpage!

My name is Cassidy Harris; I am the 7th and 8th grade Resource teacher at the Sikeston Junior High School.  I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education in May 2011.  This is my second year teaching and I have absolutely loved it so far; it has been a complete blast!

I am originally from Southwestern Indiana but moved to Cape Girardeau in 1997.  I am an alumni of Cape Central Senior High School; however, I have spent quite a bit in Sikeston prior to beginning my teaching career.  This past April I bought a house and moved to Sikeston, so I have planted my roots and am quickly becoming and Sikestonian!

My goal in the classroom is for every student to experience success in many different forms.  Not much is more rewarding than seeing a student's sense of self-pride when they have accomplished something for the first time or finally grasp a concept that they have been struggling with.  I have greatly enjoyed getting to know each student that walks into my classroom; and hope to continue having a fantastic year with them!
