FREE SHS ACT BLITZ SIGNUP

October 5, 2010 - Sign up in "A" Office - First 40 students to sign up receive intensive instruction from Academic Coaches to help students improve test taking skills and improve ACT scores.

Third Annual Southeast Missouri Coaches Association Football Contact Camp sponsored by Southeast Sports Care

Sikeston High School Head Football Coach Kent Gibbs partnered with Southeast Sports Care Program Director, Kristen Howard to coordinate and plan the Third Annual Southeast Missourt Coaches Association Football Contact Camp. Southeast Sports Care covered some of the cost of the event and provided camp t-shirts for each participant and coach. The Camp was held June 11-12, 2010, on the Sikeston High School Campus with approximately 400 area football players participating. Sikeston High School Boosters helped provide meals for the teams. Fans and players enjoyed two days of football action.

Alumni Brandon Barnes Speaks at 2010 All Sports Banquet

University of Missouri Football Assistant Coach Brandon Barnes returns to Sikeston High School to speak at this year's All Sports Banquet. A former graduate of SHS, Coach Barnes spoke to our athletes encouraging them to make good decisions and persevere. We were honored to have him as our speaker.

Clayton Driskill Wins Car in Year End Attendance Drawing

Congratulations to Clayton Driskill for winning the 2009 Ford Focus!

Eligibility Requirements for the Year End Attendance Drawing included:

98% attendance
“B” average (83%)
No discipline referrals that resulted in ISS/OSS
No more than 2 referrals that resulted in reprimands or detentions
No more than two tardies per semester per class
