Dear Parent or Guardian,

  As the weather gets warmer and the students start looking forward to the summer months, we start looking forward to the final concert of the year.  The 7^th grade band will perform their spring concert on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 pm at the Sikeston Fieldhouse.

  While we are able to work on the music during their individual classroom time, it is impossible for us to work with the entire 7^th grade band unless we work outside of class time.  We know that your time is valuable, therefore we are scheduling as few additional practices as possible, yet we need several practices for the students to have a successful concert performance on May 19th.

  Each after school practice will take place at 3:05 pm as soon as school is out.  They will end at 4:00 pm and each child must have a ride there to pick them up no later than 4:00.

  It is very important that all of the students are there for each of the rehearsals.  This is our only opportunity to work with the entire 7^th grade band together and prepare for the concert.  The things that we will be doing during these rehearsals are things that we are unable to do with the small groups and anyone that is not there will miss these things.

The dates for the rehearsals are as follows:

  Wednesday, May 15

  Thursday, May 16

  We appreciate your help in getting your child there for these extra rehearsals as well as your help in getting your child to practice at home.  We have had a great year thus far and we are looking forward to a great concert on May 19th as well.
