Dear Students:

Welcome to Sikeston High School, home of the "Bulldogs".  We hope you are looking forward to an enjoyable and rewarding school year.  High School is a time for change, a change that involves setting your educational goals, or at least be thinking about them, and then work to accomplish these goals.  Expectations of high school students are different than those of previous school years.  We expect you to be responsible young adults.  If you will behave appropriately, complete all assignments and attend school regularly, you should have a good school year.

Special attention should be given to the procedures for excused absences.  Parents must call in whenever a student is going to be absent.  Also, students will not be allowed to check out until a parent has called.  Students leaving school without checking out through the office will be considered truant.

You will be responsible for knowing the content of your student handbook and the information that is provided over the intercom.  Pay particular attention to the student attendance and discipline policy, which is listed in your student handbook.  The student handbook information will be covered in your SKILLS class for Freshmen/Sophomores or DAWG'S Hour for Juniors/Seniors.

Student parking will be in the Field House parking lot ONLY and restricted to the 10th-12th grade students.  Failure to park in the proper parking lot and follow all parking rules may result in losing the privilege of having your car on campus.  Students must have received their driver's license in order to purchase a parking sticker.  The cose to purchase a parking sticker is $10.00.
