Ensuring the Academically Gifted a
Learning Environment
Purpose of EAGLE:
EAGLE is a learning intervention designed to meet the academic and affective needs of the gifted child while providing opportunities for interaction with intellectual peers.
Elementary EAGLE is located at the 5th/6th Grade Learning Center in Room 11. Class for 5th grade begins at 7:40 A.M. All other classes begin at 8:30 A.M.
Schedules:
5th Grade on Mondays
4th Grade on Tuesdays
3rd Grade on Wednesdays
2nd Grade on Thursdays
1st Grade on Friday mornings. They return to their base schools at 11:45, after lunch.
Sharpies on Friday afternoons at the Kindergarten Center.
Transportation:
Buses will transport your child from their base schools to the 5th and 6th Grade Center from their base schools. It arrives at Southeast at approximately 7:35, Lee Hunter at 7:50, Matthews at 8:00, arriving at 5th/6th Grade Center at 8:05. Students are transported back to their base schools after EAGLE class at 2:30.
