 BARK is a Positive Behavior System that helps students understand the type of behavior that is expected in the school setting.  Each area of the building from cafeteria to hallways to classroom requires the students to behave in a certain manner.  The following chart explains the behavior expectations for all areas of the school environment.  Please address this chart with your child and encourage him/her to follow the expectations that are required.

Reward System

 The students that follow the BARK rules and expectations as stated in the matrix will earn BARK BUCKS!  BARK Bucks can be redeemed at the BARK Store every other Friday.  As well as BARK Bucks students who do NOT receive an office referral each quarter will earn a Perfect Discipline recess.  For those that earn all four perfect discipline recesses, they will have their names placed in a drawing for prizes at the end of the year.

 

 


Families and SW-PBS

Families are important members of the school communities. When schools and families work together toward their common goal of helping all children to be successful, it is much more likely to happen. Families have valuable insights and information about how their children learn best and what types of environmental supports are helpful to them.

School personnel can help families know how to support their children at home in learning and growing in both academic and social/behavioral skills. SW-PBS schools find various ways to update families on a regular basis about their activities, lessons, projects and celebrations. They encourage family members to volunteer in the schools and to serve on their SW-PBS teams. Below are some state and national websites that may be helpful to families:
